Trenton Golden Hawks Embark of Wildlife Week
Trenton Ontario- The Trenton Golden Hawks proud members of the Ontario Junior Hockey League prepare to take on the Cobourg Cougars, Burlington Cougars and the Aurora Tigers all in an 8 day period starting Friday October 14 and ending Friday October 21.
The highlight of Wildlife Week will be #HockeyForHarambe on Wednesday October 19th as the Burlington Cougars make an appearance at the Duncan McDonald Community Gardens in Quinte West at 730 pm.
The Golden Hawks will be wearing special commemorative jerseys for the warm up that will be auctioned off during the game with the proceeds from the auction as well as t shirts going to the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.
“We felt #HockeyForHarambe was the best way to honour Harambe's life and also bring awareness to the plight of the Lowland Gorilla” stated Rob McDonald Director of Game Day Operations for the Trenton Golden Hawks.
